I wish a Happy New Year to all the Chinese around the world, but I especially think of the Chinese already in Mainland China and who have to suffer from all forms of repression and deprivation of their rights. I was in their country quite recently, a few months ago, and I had the opportunity to speak to believers from various denominations- Protestant, Catholic, Falun Gong. They cannot openly show their faith, they cannot live publically what they feel inside their soul; that's a pity, we all regret it. We hope that they will be able to do it in the future. Happy New Year to all the Chinese around the world.
