VIP Greetings: US House of Representatives

Congressman Robert E. Andrews
New Jersey's 1st District
Dear Dr. Chao:
I am pleased to join our Chinese community at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington to joyously celebrate the Chinese New Year. It is during such festivities that we can reflect on the integration of the Chinese culture into the American fabric; we honor rich and unique differences and revel in our commonalities.
As we pay tribute to our ancestors and forefathers who have blessed our families and country with the prosperity we enjoy, I look forward to working further with the Greater Philadelphia Asian Culture Center, Delaware Asian Culture Center, and the New Tang Dynasty Television station in strengthening ties with the Asian community. Together we will build a noble legacy for our children.
I hereby congratulate the Chinese community in the arrival of the Year of the Dog, and am honored to be a part of your family during this celebration.
Sincerely,
Robert Andrews

Dear Friends,
It gives me great pleasure to offer my congratulations on the celebration of the Chinese New Year. I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Chinese New Year, the most important day of the Chinese calendar, has become famous across the world for its colorful and joyous celebrations. This year’s gala, “Myths and Legends” promises to be spectacular festival of Chinese performing arts, including song, dance, and drama. Events like NTDTV’s Chinese New Year Global Gala are important to maintain the rich heritage of the Chinese community, as well our introducing these impressive arts and culture to others.
The Chinese-American community has been instrumental in the development and progress of the United States. The coming year brings with it hope and many possibilities. I look forward to working with you all in 2006 to make our world an even better place for everyone.
As you know, this coming year is the “Year of the Dog.” People born during this time are said to have the best human qualities-loyalty, honesty, and the ability to inspire confidence. I hope in the coming year people throughout the world will strive to demonstrate those characteristics in their daily lives.

Dear Friends:
I wound like to commend and thank the Oriental Culture & Media Center of Southern California and the New Tang Dynasty Television for your collaboration in bringing the 2006 Chinese New Year Global Gala to the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, California.
The 2006 Chinese New Year Global benefits our local communities by providing both a venue for celebration for the many people of East Asian heritage living in San Diego and also providing an opportunity for families of all heritages to learn about the history and traditions of Chinese culture by experiencing the Gala performance.
I am grateful to all who are participating in the program to make it a success – the talented performers who will share their craft with us on stage, the event facilitators at New Tang Dynasty Television and Oriental Culture & Media Center, whose hard work has brought this wonderful multi-culture event to the California Center for the Arts and of course, the volunteers who work hard to make the event a success.
I commend this unique program and wish you much success in your future endeavors.
Sincerely,
